Lady in Target today came up to me
and said, "if your baby keeps crying she will get sick"
I'm like, "She's fine, we're leaving now anyways"
and then she says, "If you're not willing to pick her up, then let me" and she looked like she was pretty forceful saying this
I was like, No we're fine ....She said it again, I said no, and then she gave me a dirty look and walked away
WTH!
My 7week old DD wasn't screaming, she was more of a fussing cry and I had to get out of the house for a bit (DH is working today so I had to bring her)...

I've never once had an encounter like some of the stuff I hear on these boards. Maybe I shop during the non-crazies rush hour or I just have a mean looking face. People are strange. Learn to ignore people early on, including "looks" from strangers, it goes miles when it comes to staying on course with what you want to do with your own child.

that's ridiculous! sounds like my hospital roommate she told me my baby would get a hernia from crying and she tried to hold my DD, I'm a first time mom and my baby was like 5 hours old at the time and me and my DH were about to smack her for trying to make us feel bad

I honestly don't know what the h e l l is wrong with ppl I think I honestly would have gone ape shiz on her even without laying a hand on my DC just for her even implying that she was going to pick her up!!!!
