Lake George...Where to Stay???
Want to go to Lake George and looking for a recommendation on where to stay.
Can anyone recommend a place to stay that they really liked??
Not looking to stay at a cabin.

When I went to Lake George the hotel was a variation of the bates motel so I dont remember nor would I recommend it. 
But if I were to go back the Sagamore looks absolutley amazing!

My DH has family up there so we go a lot and always stay at the Hampton Inn. It's near everything and it's clean and reliable. I'm not a fan of the privately owned places on the lake. Had some bad experiences going with my family growing up. But we stayed at Fort Henry once and that was pretty decent (it's big and we stayed in the cheap part so I'm sure the other side is nicer). The Sagamore is supposed to be great but we never want to spend the money for visiting family!!!

I should have mentioned I'm taking my 7 month old. So, I want something that is kid friendly.

My sister & brother went to Lake George last year with their families and they stayed at Sagamore. They loved it and I believe they are going back this summer.

I loved the Great Escape Lodge.
It has an indoor water park for little ones and adults included in your room charge.
It's great especially if it rains.

The Sagamore is beautiful.
The Holiday Inn up there is good too - reasonably priced and actually has a view of the lake (it isn't directly on the lake...)
I've been going there pretty much every year since I was born, so feel free to FM if you have any questions!!
