LAnd Survey

Does anybody know how much it costs to get a survey of your land done?

Re: LAnd Survey

It depends on if you just need an update or a whole new one...
I think I had an update done and it was like 3 or $400, a new one could cost like 600 I think I heard? something ridiculous!
Call the town, they should know...

Re: LAnd Survey

We are currently in contract and the house we bought is from the original owners and our lawyer was doubtful that a survey would still be around. He said that the going rate is around $500 on average (which doesn't include if something has to be rushed).

Re: LAnd Survey

Well we have one when we bought the house a few months ago but we want to get it marked for the fence we are having put in and plus our one neighbor is all of a sudden claiming that some of what we thought is our property is his. He got summoned becasue he put in a shed without permits and we think he's saying that to prove his shed is further from his property then it is. But you can't believe anythig that comes out of this guys mouth. And we rather pay for teh survey now then find out later once teh fence is in.

Re: LAnd Survey

We are in the process of buying a piece of land to be subdivided. We had 2 surveys done. One of the way it is now and one of the new subdivision. It cost us $1400. From my research this was a great price for all the work we had done. I was expecting to pay $2000.

Re: LAnd Survey

This is SC advice but mine was $400.00. Mine has also been included in my closing costs.
