Re: lasik??
You might want to try doing a search. I know a while ago there were a number of threads about it.
I had it done in 1997 by TLC - The laser Care Center (though I think then it was called something else), in Garden City. My doctor was Dr. Donnenfeld and it was AMAZING! I had awful eyesight (I think my contacts were about -8 or so). I would totally recommend him! I never had any problems, though it was never fully 20/20-well, my left eye might be, but not my right-but it has been good enough that my regular eye doctor told me that there was really no need for glasses. Best money I ever spent!!!

Dr. Donnefeld did mine also. The eye surgery was the best thing I ever did.
He is the best out there!

Re: lasik??
Anoter Dr Donnenfeld recommendation. I had the surgery done almost 4 years ago. Best decision I ever made. Haven't had any problems with haloing or driving at night. No enhansments either. Just to warn you, they make you sign all of these consent forms before you have the surgery. They will scare the cr*p out of you. But in the end it is totally worth it, to wake up in the morning and be able to see without having to reach for your glasses.

I got it done about 4 years ago and it was $5500. Not sure about the flex plan - thankfully my grandparents paid!!!!

Re: lasik??
I had VSP vision insurance and I believe I was guaranteed $1800/eye and then I got some custom mapping that was an extra $1000? So $4600.
*I think*
PS: You mean use Health Care Reimbursement funds? If yes, I believe so.

Re: lasik??
i financed it for 0 percent for 1 year at $3000, they also give you a discount if you present your health insurance card, i dont' know what companies, but i have empire. they actually never asked for my card i guess they just believed me. everything is free up until the day of surgery so if you decide to back out you still have all the tests for free! Most companies will allow it in their flex spending, i know my cousin was looking to do it through her company even though it had to be in at a certain time (? dont' know about this type of account) surgery is guaranteed for life even if you need enhancements just as long as you use the doctors in their network. Re: lasik??
my tenant just got it done in Canada. It's unbelievable how much cheaper procedures are out there. She is loving her no eyeglass wearing self right now. lol
She paid $582 per eye.
