Last hope speciatlist today
So after over a very long year of not being able to swallow any food and being missdiagnosed the DR's finally told me I had achalasia (which is rare and means that my esophagus lost motility and the bottom closed up). I had the operation for it 4 years ago and of course ended up with the 5% chance of it not fully working. So here I am after 5 years of this and I get told that what we thought was my last hope other then operating again can not happen in NY. REALLY!!!! I am so frustrated and nervous at the same time. Now I am leaving in under an hour to go to what is my last hope at getting better to go to a specialist in Philly. Please just keep me in your thoughts that they have some idea of how to make me be able to eat like a normal person and not need over a gallon of water a day just to push my food down. TIA

Oh my. So sorry you are suffering.
