Last minute - restaurant for tonight
Last minute, getting together for dinner with a couple of friends tonight. Looking for a place with a nice atmosphere that isn't very pricey, in Nassau county - Jericho, Garden City, Hicksville areas, or anywhere around there.

I agree with recommendations for Novita, City Cellar, Waterzooi
If you don't necessarily want to avoid the mall area, then I'd also recommend Seasons 52. I like their menu (seasonal and healthy), drinks list, and atmosphere, and it's very reasonable. They have valet parking for evenings.

Last minute - restaurant for tonight
We wound up just going to Fanatico in Jericho. I go there for lunch a lot and the food is good. One person that was going is on a very tight budget so as much as I would have loved a "fancier" place the food was really good and we had a nice time
