Last minute interview questions for babysitter
I am usually so much more planned! I am meeting with potential babysitters who will be watching our children for 2 full days. Besides experience, discipline, I am at a loss of what to ask.
Please help! TIA

Give scenarios of what could happen and ask how they would react. Do they know infant/child cpr?

Re: Last minute interview questions for babysitter
Have you babysat before? Why did you stop with previous family? Where do you see yourself in... A year? Still babysitting?
Honestly, open ended questions told me the most.

Re: Last minute interview questions for babysitter
I asked the usual questions, previous experience, "What if...", etc.
DH asked, What do you do in your spare time? If I looked you up on Facebook, what would I see?
His logic - to see what they're "really" like . . . I was thrown off, but I thought about it - a previous babysitter posted pics of her drinking (under age) at a frat party and possible other illegal acts (pot smoking).
One babysitter we interviewed (19 yrs old) said "Oh I don't post pics of me drinking on Facebook"

Oh boy! She is a 59 year old grandma so we won't have those exact issues. ;)
