Last Minute Spring Break Trip
So need some help! last min trip with 5yr old DS for spirng break next week.
I was looking at St petes beach / Clearwater?? Thoughts?
DR? someplace else in the caribbean? Looking at under 2k so some of the very nice resorts folks recommend in St petes/clearwater are out of the price point for this trip... which is ok.
Any thoughts on where we should go? TIA!

Last Minute Spring Break Trip
Honestly for under $2K, I don't think you will get much, especially since flights are still expensive right now, and for last minute! Try Frontier for Florida. There is a code for 90% off right now, SAVE90
We just went to Hutchinson Island/Jensen Beach last week and it was great!! It's a barrier island on the Atlantic side, but the water was turquoise! We saw dolphins from our balcony. We stayed at the Marriott Courtyard, which was right on the beach. They have a nice, warm pool and hot tub. We were there for a vow renewal and with a bunch of family, so we didn't have a lot of time to explore. But, there is a park down the road with sea turtles, etc. I read. We visited the town of Stuart which was cute (main street area on the water). We flew into West Palm, it was about a 50 minute drive from the airport.

I have never heard of that, but I've only been there once. Did you check out the Tradewinds Resort? I know they have a lot of kid friendly activities. I didn't realize it was just you and your son, in that case I think you could definitely stay under budget! You could also join the group on FB called Rent it Last Minute, people list their time shares for cheap prices! Also VRBO's facebook group
