Last minute weekend getaway!
My MIL offered to take my son for the weekend so I can plan something for DH's birthday. I definitely want to go somewhere for the night. Any recommendations? Can't be too far since we are only going 1 night. I did a search and saw Montauk, Shelter Island, etc but is there anything to do there this time of year?

Oh a nice night at Mohegan Sun.
The hotel is beautiful, the spa is great, nice shops, AMAZING restaurants.
We don't even gamble and we LOVE it.
Very relaxing...

I've had friends who live in manhattan do a "weekend getaway" in manhattan. i thought it was silly but now I think it is a wonderful idea.
Boston, Newport, Mystic, Hamptons, New Hope are ok choices also.
