Last q from me for the day I promise - Activity Mat Colors - Significance?

I think I read on here on another thread that you should get an activity mat in Black/Red/White instead of all colors - is there a reason for this? I have registered one that is a bunch of bright colors should I change it?

I would stay with whatever one you registered for. I went with one with colors and was very happy with it. Andrew loved it.

I think in the beginning those are the "colors" that the baby can see most defined.

black/red/white are the only colors they can see for a while, so it's stimulating if they have those colors up close near their face (they can't see too far either right away). We had one and my son would stare at it for a long time at like 4-6wks old

I really don't think it matters. I really think their ability to see other than B&W comes soon enough that the variety of colors is nice. I got one of those activity mats with a mobile on it (underneath the arms of the "gym" part). Marron LOVED mobiles, and when she was tired of tummy time, (which you'll find only lasts a couple of minutes), I would flip her over and she loved watching the mobile. This is the one I got.
