Late August/Early Sept. Mommies - Q for ya...
What will you dress your baby in to come home? Given the weather - I'm not sure what babies wear, lol. Short sleeves or long? Pants or no pants, Socks or no socks? Blanket? Hat? Please help!

i plan on dressing DS in pants, a long sleeve t-shirt, a hat and socks...im also bringing a receiving blanket, but he probably cant use it for the ride home bc of the car seat.
i think the rule is "one layer more than what you are wearing"

Basically the rule of thumb is that babies dont have to be dressed any warmer than we are..except for a hat..
Im due Sept 9th..will probably go any where between now and the endish of August...Im planning on just a onesie with a blanket and a hat.

I'm washing different types of layers to pack, so we can dress accordingly. We will also have a receiving blanket!! Unfortunately, we have to pack different sizes because we have no idea what a baby brontosaurus fits into.

I have always been told to dress my child as I would myself, so I am planning short sleeves with shorts. I have a recieving blanket in case it is cool. Babies body temp drops just a bit while sleeping so you may want that extra layer at night. But beware of the overheated baby...poss coorelation to sids. Yep I am a paranoid nut, was with my son and will be once again
