Late ovulation
If you ovulate later than usual during one cycle does that mean...
1) your cycle length can be affected?
OR
2) it will take longer to get a BFP on a HPT
OR
3) none of the above!
Just curious... Thanks!

It can mean yes to both! Your period should come about 14 days after you ovulate so if you didn't ovulate until CD 18- your period might not come until CD32 or so. Most people don't get a BFP until 11-12 days after they O at the earliest- so I would think you wouldn't be able to get a BFP until closer to the time AF was due. HTH!

#1 - definately yes - your cycle would be longer if you O later
#2 - yes since you will have a longer cycle (i think lol)

yes your cycle will be longer. you will get AF 10-14 days (based on your LP) from your O date regardless of your regular cycle length.
so that being said - yes, you should wait until around your new expected AF date before testing.
