Late third trimester girls...
I'm 35 weeks, and every night, starting around 7pm or so, I start having contractions. Some painful, some not. They go away by the morning. I talked to my ob/gyn who said not to worry until they exceed 4-6 an hour - which almost happened last night.
Just wondering if anyone else around the same number of weeks is experiencing the same?

i notice them more at night because im relaxed and laying down. and i totally agree with your doc. if they exceed 6 an hour its something to be concerned with. as everyone knows ive been monitoring mine for the past 10 weeks so ive become a pro! they def. encourage me to drink 20 full oz of water when i notice them and then remonitor them

yes....mee mee..I could be driving during the day and I'm getting them. I actually asked the doctor yesterday could it be because I already had previous pregnancies that my body just knows what to do...so it hurts more. His answer was no...your almost 36 weeks your body is getting ready and prepared.
I have to breathe through some of them..they hurt that bad.

Yup - I get them every night - even though I am on meds for another week.
I too, have been dealing with PTL for several months and am so used to being hypervigilant about contraction. But the doctor told me that at this point it is completely normal to start getting consistent contractions.
Honestly, at this point I just ignore them I feel like if I go into labor then so be it - they won't stop it anyway.

Yeah, me too - some of them are real doozies. I NEVER got these with my DD - braxton hicks, yes, but never painful contractions - at least, not until I was in active labor with her.
I wouldn't be too worried normally except that I'm scheduled for a c-section and my mom keeps telling me over and over and over how all three of us came 2 weeks early and came so quickly that she never made it to the delivery room for any of us

This is exactly what I'm afraid of...not making it to the hospital...If I waited any longer with my daughter I would have never made it. They didnt' start to be really painful until the transitioning period...before that I wasn't sure if I was in real labor and didn't want to get there too early. The stress of it is killing me. I just want to know.

Since I have been dealing with PTL I have the same fears that I will not make to my c-section date.
Right now my biggest fear is that I'll go into labor in the middle of the day with my toddler at home and my DH snd inlaws all work in the city. I have visions of driving myself to the hospital huffing and puffing. but it could happen...

Re: Late third trimester girls...
SO my fears right now!! What in the world will we do with our DD? I don't have any backup plan, nor do I have any family to help us - my mom said to call her if anything happens and she'll rush here, but she's over 4 hours away! And to boot, I walk to the train station a mile to and from everyday so I have these visions of taking the train, while in labor, walking a mile to my car, and then driving myself to the hospital while DH has to rush home to pick up DD from school!
