Re: latest jean trend?
IMO you can not go wrong with a good quality well fit pair of boot cut jeans. especially if you do not buy jeans often. skinny jeans with tall boots are still in and i think look great on all as long as you are buying jeans that compliment YOUR body.
the key with jeans is a good fit

Re: latest jean trend?
It totally depends on your body type I think
I hear skinny jeans, skinny jeans, skinny jeans until I am sick of hearing the 2 words together- but you know what, they don't right on me. AT ALL
My thighs are larger than the rest of my leg so when I wear skinny jeans, there is a bump out and then it tapers back in below the knee and to me I look like an ice cream cone.
TOTALLY not flattering
I think it's best to try on a few pairs and see what works best on YOUR body.

Re: latest jean trend?
Flared jeans are "in" this year but I don't have the same body as I did as a teen so I think I'll stick with my straight and boot legged jeans. Those are classic IMO.
Skinny jeans are still popular as well but I only wear ones with lots of stretch, which are more flattering on me.

Re: latest jean trend?
My new favorite jeans are JCrew's Matchstick - dark wash. They are a skinny- straight leg.

this is my body type too. i don't have a straight leg! i have muscular thighs and very hippy, not model straight legs. So i dont even know what looks best. i usually just get boot cut to stay in proportion. as you said straight cut bump out in the thigh and don't look nice.

I usually wear boot cut too- to me it looks best on my body type Victoria's Secret has a new cut of jean called the Love- it says it's made for women with a smaller waist but curvier hips/thighs- I might give those a try too!

I like the Always Skinny Jeans and Jeggings from The Gap. I also have a great pair of bootcut jeans from Banana Republic.

Re: latest jean trend?
I have gotten alot of great jeans at American Eagle and Express. I shop at the AE outlet in Deer Park and have gotten some great deals.
I agree that skinny jeans are still the "in" look right now, but like pp said it doesn't work for everyone, so in that case I would go for boot cut

They come in all lengths- petitie, average and tall. Try them- I think they are universal for all body types!
