Laundry Detergent for Baby...
If I don't get Dreft, I can use any detergent that is dye-free/fragrance free - correct?
TY!

Yes we've all been using All free & clear or Tide free & clear since before kids because of DH's sensitive skin.

I use Baby Magic Detergent sometimes on my own clothes. I have very sensitive skin and I love it. Smells great too.

Re: Laundry Detergent for Baby...
I also recently saw baby detergent version of All detergent. And it was on sale for like 5.99 by me. It smelled really good as well. A nice alternative to the expensive Dreft and you still get that baby smell.

if you can get a fregrance free it is actually better... my mother always talks about how my brother was, from birth, highly sensitive to any fragrence...
we also use all free and clear and i actually use the dye free clorox 2 as well

Re: Laundry Detergent for Baby...
I never understood the concept of Dreft. Yeah, the detergent might be mild, but the smell is putrid and sooooo strong. I've always used All free and clear, and now that she's older, regular all that is scented.

Re: Laundry Detergent for Baby...
Honestly, we started our DD off with the regular detergent we use, so we could just wash her stuff with ours and we watched to see if there was a reaction. Since there wasn't a reaction there was no need for us to buy her seperate detergent.

Re: Laundry Detergent for Baby...
Thought of another questions - do they make fragrance free dryer sheets? I assume that's what I should use in the dryer?

We bought these ball things at Bed Bath and Beyond - you can reuse them several times and they work very well

Actually, I never used fabric softener on the baby things. It reduces the flame retardant of the garment.

we switched to dryer balls and that reduced the majoriy of the static and made a difference on the softness
