Laundry Questions...
As the clock ticks down, I am making all these lists of things to do...
I was wondering, do I need to wash basket liners and things like that in Dreft or similar? I assume anything that will touch the baby's skin (like changing pad covers, boppy covers, etc.), or anything that will touch something that will touch the baby's skin should be washed, right? Of course I want to wash EVERYTHING like even my couch! I am crazy. I know I can't wash my couch.
Also, is there a baby safe fabric softener? Or do you just use the special laundry detergent and call it a day?
And, for those who use a "free and clear" detergent instead of Dreft, which one do you use?

Re: Laundry Questions...
I just ended up buying a brand call Ultra Cheer (Free and Clear) from Target. I think I'm just going to use it for all of our clothes, not just the baby's. Other than her clothes, I will probably just wash her sheets.

Re: Laundry Questions...
I bought both a free & clear and Dreft detergent. I've only washed the 0-3 month stuff, sheets, blankets and things that will immediately touch his skin. I've heard mixed opinions about needing to go crazy with washing stuff.......some people have said it's not a big deal if you don't wash things like hats, bibs, mittens, socks..........

Re: Laundry Questions...
When I had DD, I washed all of the baby clothes and linens (towels, bassinet sheets, swaddling blankets) in Baby All. It's much less expensive than Dreft & I loved the smell.

Re: Laundry Questions...
I use All Free and Clear detergent and Bounce makes dye free fragrance free dryer sheets that I use. Emerson has never had a reaction or rash and it's waaaaaaaaaaaay cheaper than Dreft.
