Law about stopping at a stop sign
I am going to court Monday to fight a ticket I got for not stopping at a stop sign. I DID stop, but I stopped probably a foot in front of the sign (no line on road), and though I could see the other two stop signs had no cars, the cop did not see me stop from where he was hiding on the side street to catch people.
So...Is there a law about how close to the stop sign you need to stop? Is a foot legal if you can see the other stop signs? TIA, I couldn't find it anywhere online.

Did you look at the DMV website? As far as I know you need to stop at or before the stop sign...not after it. Good luck in court!
