Leased car and battery

That is my responsibility right? My car has 36k on it and it needs a new battery. DH left the lights on, parking lights, for like 20 minutes and it killed my battery. I have had to jump it 3x already when I get my car washed but besides that I have never had a problem when I just want to start the car elsewhere. I don't want to worry about it dying with the even colder weather now. A battery isn't covered under a lease is it?

Re: Leased car and battery

I would think so- I had to pay for tires and brakes on my lease- so I would think you would have to pay for the battery unless it's defectitive

yes, a battery would be considered normal wear and tear, so wouldn't be covered under a warranty.

Re: Leased car and battery

I would go to an auto mechanic and ask them how much it would be to replace it. Then call your dealer. I would bet that depending on the make and model of the car your dealer may be competitive.

It's an Acura MDX. I also need my oil changed. Maybe Ill just swing by Acura and let them service the animal while I do some shopping at BRU.
