Leaving food overnight in fridge at work
Do you leave food overnight in the fridge at your job?
Just curious what other people do.
To answer my question..I don't. A co-worker of mine went to get his sandwich and saw that someone bit into it and put it right back. When he opened his sandwich he saw someone took a huge bite! He was pizzed!

Re: Leaving food overnight in fridge at work
I did last night, I had forgotten to take it home. I have it in my lunch bag though.

This happened to me with a garlic knot that happened to be in a ziplock bag with a slice of pizza. But it happened during the work day. I went in to get my pizza and found the knot bitten into and then placed back on top of the pizza slice. I was beyond pizzed (and pregnant to boot). You just don't mess with a pregnant lady's lunch.

Re: Leaving food overnight in fridge at work
Yes, but usually only for one night. If I decide to get something after I already brought lunch, I will leave it for the next day. After that I toss it, if I haven't eaten it.

That's nasty! What nerve!
I don't anymore because I go home for lunch, but I used to. Thankfully nothing like that has happened here that I know of...

Re: Leaving food overnight in fridge at work
Sometimes I bring in food for two days at once and I occasionally have a bottle of salad dressing in there.
Only once someone messed with my food...they opened a yogurt container and put it back. I figured it was opened by mistake but I always wondered why they wouldn't just let me know so I could bring more in the next day instead of getting to the office and having no breakfast.

Re: Leaving food overnight in fridge at work
I always hear about this kind of stuff and am astounded. People really do this, huh? YUCK!!!!
Maybe it's because I've generally worked in small offices, but I've never seen this happen. I did have someone swipe my soda once, but I think they thought it was just a general office soda.
And yes, I do sometimes leave food in the fridge.

Sometimes and I've never had an issue. I don't remember of anyone here ever complaining that someone ate their lunch.

Ditto. I won't even leave anything in the communal fridge for an HOUR. My MIL works with me and she has her own fridge in her office, so I stash my stuff in there.

yes, sometimes my sodas have gotten stolen though. the other thing that irks me is people will leave their crap in there forever until it gets beyond expiration!

Re: Leaving food overnight in fridge at work
I only go into work two days a week, so usually I don't leave food in the refrigerator because I don't want it to go bad and then I forget about it. However, a lot of people at my office do leave stuff in the fridge, and as far as I know, people don't steal it. That being said, we only have 10 people at our office.

Re: Leaving food overnight in fridge at work
I don't put ANYTHING in the fridge at work. I just do not trust anyone. Someone once ate my coworkers entire lunch then washed her tupperware and put it on top of the microwave. People really do have some nerve.
