Leaving for Cali on Friday - any traveling tips
Seamus will be 3.5 months Its a long flight! I will have my parents with me (Dh isnt flying out until 5 days later) My brother is getting married the 22nd and we are staying with my sister until after Thanksgiving
The doc said I can give him Tylenol before we get on the plain because he has had an ear ache on and off for the past week. He doesnt want the pressure to bother him. I know I have to feed during take off and landing for his ears
I am taking his car seat and snap n go, which I will check at the gate - we are going on Jet Blue
Do I need to take the car seat base> I was going to pack it into one of the suitcases to use in my sisters truck, but not sure if its necessary. It just scares me if he is in his seat without it

You can use the car seat without the base -- it is perfectly safe. That's what we've done.
Bring a toy or 2 but honestly at that age, he'll probably sleep through most of the flight. When we went to Sedona & Grand Canyon with Ale at that age she slept, and when she was awake she ate, or I sang to her and played finger games (where is thumbkin, etc.).
You'll be surprised at how well kids adjust!

Re: Leaving for Cali on Friday - any traveling tips
We just came back from Florida a couple weeks ago, and DS did really well on his first flight! The best tip I received was to let DS drink a bottle on the way up and on the way down to help him pop his ears. He spent most of the flight sleeping, which really helped! The time he did spend awake, he was flirting with the flight attendants and getting passed up and down the aisle by them
