leaving the house
My ped. is pretty strict on leaving the house with a newborn. So Dh and I took her out to the park for a walk on Sunday for the first time (we have walked around our block). However, I am proud of myself that I left the house with Isabella yesterday for the first time! We drove to our friends house. I was SO nervous to pack her up and drive alone with her. It went really well though. I won't take her to public places yet, but I am really excited that I got out on my own. I look forward to leaving the house more often and feeling more like a human among the real world again. Thanks for reading! I am just proud of myself!

Getting out of the house on my own was such a huge accomplishment, so I know what you mean.

Re: leaving the house
I remember the first successful trip out of the house! What a feeling! I was so scared to do it, but once I did it - I felt like a new person! Congratulations

Re: leaving the house
I know what you mean.
I don't think I left my house, except for drs appts, with both of them, until after 3 months but then again my MIL would watch them while I ran quick errands... much easier that way with two.
It is hard, but soon those days will be here when it gets much easier.

Re: leaving the house
I remember taking Alex to Jones Beach by myself - and then calling everyone to tell them where I was! Nevermind that she SCREAMED since her paci fell out...
Congrats!!! It's very liberating!!

Re: leaving the house
That's the best feeling! My doc was always strict about public places b/c i had preemies but one thing she always recommended was going out and getting fresh air. That never hurts anyone

Re: leaving the house
That's great! I was very nervous the first time I took DS out by myself as well. With a few days, though, he was going everywhere with me.
