Potty Training and leaving the house
Ok so what do you do when you leave....do you put the diaper back on or use a pull-up? When we are in the house she either has undies on or nothing? i don't want to confuse her but I don't want her to pee in the carseat either.

I always used a pull up if I went out.

Re: Potty Training and leaving the house
My sister got this travel potty that she keeps in the car, it comes with these bags (or you can get your own I think) that go over the little potty seat and the child can sit on it in the car, then you just wrap up the plastic bag and throw it away. My sister loves it and it was a big help when she was potty training.

Re: Potty Training and leaving the house
I just went for it. I didn't want to put a pull-up or diaper on him because I felt that was going in reverse. I bought those disposable changing pads from BRU, which are slightly waterproof and made him sit on one of those. He never had an accident while we were out. I made him go before we left the house and reminded him every time we were near a potty. I was surprised at how long we could be out without having him have to pee.

Re: Potty Training and leaving the house
I braved it one day. I went out with my mom and I packed seriously like six pairs of underwear and three outfits. We went to Target. I just kept asking her and reminding her that she wasn't wearing a pull-up. We took two potty breaks while shopping and she went pee pee on the potty at target. I also kept telling her that if she stayed dry I'd give her a lollipop. I figured, the drs. Office uses that trick why not me. Of course after that first day, we went out other times and she did have some accidents. I'd change her and remind her to tell me when she had to go. It has been a full week now with no accidents. She has gone to the babysitter, nursery school, gymnastics, dance school and even the mall yesterday and she has stayed dry. Good luck! It is so stressful.

Re: Potty Training and leaving the house
I think it's easier to go cold turkey if you think she has the hang of it. You need to be prepared to use ANY TYPE of restroom.
Our first try was a trip to Montauk. I know all of the gas stations along the way.
