Left handed people who use their left hand on the mouse---do you have a specific type of mouse that you like?
My PC mouse died and DH gave me a replacement that he had in the house. It is ergonomically shaped for use with the right hand. There are buttons on the far left side and I keep hitting them, accidentally. I do not want to reverse the click keys as some lefties do but I need a mouse that is not shaped for the right hand. Anyone have a recommendation.
I also need a new keyboard and if there is one with numbers on the left side, I might like it!!!
We'll take care of this and then move on to the inevitable left handed masturbation jokes.

Many generic mice are ambidextrous.

You know what's funny. I'm left handed in everything I do, but I cannot for the life of me use my mouse with the left hand. I'm spastic. Must be because I have always used it in my right. Weird.

I am a lefty here and I only use the mouse with my right hand. I am just used to it being that way in HS and College so I never really wanted to put it on the opposite side. Sorry I couldn't help.

I'm a righty, but I'm actually pretty good with any mouse location. I have to work on other people's PC's, so I need to be able to switch click.
Some lefties just have a right handed mouse on the left side (left click is still on left button of mouse). Some lefties switch buttons so the primary button is where their index finger is. Some righties switch their mouse because their right hand is bothering them.

This is what I do and I am quite used to it. However, this new mouse is an odd shape for any left handed use, plus there are extra buttons that I keep hitting by mistake because of the way I hold the mouse.
Those keyboards may be great for me--numbers on the left would be awesome!!!

Yeah--me too. I wonder if my job would spring for it?
I mouse righty, but I use the top row of numbers, so I can use my left hand, instead of the keypad on the right.

I am left handed but always used the mouse righty since going to school & thatthat is the way all the computers were set up. I just started using my right hand since I can use my right hand for many other thing. But since I had a mini-stroke in 1997 & never regained the fine motor skills in my right hand I switched the mouse to the left & trained myself to use the mouse lefty.
