leftover vacation time and maternity leave
i still have 1 week vaca left. i was planning on going back PT instead of full time...BUT my boss hasn't called me back after i left her a message monday and today saying i would like to discuss my maternity leave and coming back. I'm so annoyed that i haven't gotten a call all week that i just don't want to go back at all (not like I WANTED to in the first place) but what will happen to my vacation time if i choose not to go back? can they withhold that from me even though i'm entitled to it as I've accrued it?

From what I understand, you are supposed to get paid out your vacation pay if you decide not to go back. I'm sorta in the same boat. I don't plan on returning to work and I have finished collecting my maternity/disability pay. I think I am due back the end of the month but I want to be good about it and let my boss know now that I don't plan on returning. My SIL who works in HR said they have to pay me my accrued vacation/sick time.

They definitely don't have to pay out accrued sick (at my job they don't). I don't know if the paid out vaca is a guarantee--you'd have to check your contract.
