Legal Advice.. Regarding my Apartment Complex
I have a question regarding the apartment complex I live in.
The apartments l live in are new and people are still moving in even though we were the fist to moved in a year ago next month. One year later we still don't have any of our promised amenities like a "Swimming Pool, Business Center, Fitness Center, Theater Room".
We were told that we should have all that's listed in January or February 2007 and now it's September and we don't have our amities. We are paying premium prices and still don't have anything that was promised to us.
Can we ask for some kind of compensation? Not sure if we should seek out some legal advice.
Thanks Chris

If it's in writing I would look into seeking legal help if only for the fact of maybe having your rent adjusted for the time when these things have been missing.
I would think this is about all you can do if you got these promises in writing.

I agree - this may be your only recourse.

I believe if it is stated in your lease that with your rent you will have access to all amenities you previously mentioned there should be some form of action you can take for minor reimbursements. You would need to re-read your contract.

It may only be valid if you your contract guarantees the amenities. Check the contract and contact a legal representative.

Re: Legal Advice.. Regarding my Apartment Complex
Nothing in the contract about the amenities only in the brochure that was given to use at the time we signed the contract.
