Let's just say that yesterday was NOT one of my proudest mommy moment
Strike 1: Needed to move some stuff in the yard. Put on one of DS' favorite show. He usually will watch it and not move. That HAD allowed me in the past to go upstairs to do a load of laundry, etc...I was only outside for a short moment. Then I turn, DS had came out of the house, in sock, dragging one of his blanket to come see me. I felt so proud!!! NOT!!!!
Strike 2: I am feeding the dogs last night. I gave the 1st dog his food. I am going to get more for dog#2. I hear a crunching sound. The dogs usually wait for each other to get the food and then eat at the same time. So I turned around to check on the dog. It's not the dogs. DS had taken a piece of dog food ("luckily" it's only dry food!!!.... or I would have puked on the spot in disguss!). He was trying to chew on it but it was hard. I tried to remove it from his mouth. Got MULTIPLE bit marks on my pointer finger. He did not want me to shovel a finger in his mouth so he chewed on my finger too. Finally got the piece out. Gave it to the dog who looked at me as in "I am not going to eat that". I decide to call the PED. He tells me he thinks it's OK but to call Poison Control for just in case. I call. The woman must have contained herself not to laugh at me. I could feel it in her tone. As in "your dogs eat it... it's not poisonous". So I made her feel REALLLY SMALL by saying I prefered to be safe and it was a the suggestion of my PED. MEAN WOMAN!!!!
Strike 3: It's dinner time. I fixed one of DS' meals. Those Gerber graduate toddlers with the tray. Meats on 1 side and veggies on the other side. Stir. Feed DS. He SCREAMS!!! I thought he did not want the food since we still have feeding issues. So I do what I always do before I feed him. Scoop some on a spoon, bring to my lips to check for temperature. Yes, I always do that. Except apparently, I did not do that on the first spoon I gave him. The scream is because he got burned. When I did the 2nd spoon, I burned my top lip. Great mom... just great!!!!!
So let's top that with a guy who decide to park in front of my house for 40+ minutes and STAYS in the car around 5:30pm. I wanted to go for a walk with DS but did not feel comfortable to leave the house. I call DH to find out if someone was supposed to meet him. He says no. I call the cops. The guy leaves as DH comes home. As the guy was leaving the cops arrived. The cops stop him. Check him out! The guy apparently said he was taking a break. He usually goes to a park. Cop tells him, next time "GO to the park. Don't park in front of someone's house for about 1 hour and make everybody wonder what you are up to".
How was YOUR day yesterday???

Wow. I feel stressed for you!
I love the 'Your dogs eat it, it's not poison!' I remember when I called them for when DS ate paint off of one of his toys and they made me feel like an idiot.
That guy just sitting in front of your house is just freaky.

We all have these moments. I once didn't check the temp of the bath water...that didn't go over well. And you'd be disgusted to know how much dog food my son has eaten...
