Let's talk Bella Bands
Okay so i got my first one in the mail today and i'm wearing it today.
Did any of you think that it was uncomfortable to wear? I kind of feel like i'm wearing a girdle almost. Plus i feel like it creates more of a baby bump than without it.
Is this normal?

Mine was always comfy...maybe because the alternative was not being able to sit with my pants buttoned...lol.

Re: Let's talk Bella Bands
Never bothered with it.
Once I grew out of my jeans I wore all elastic banded pants, NY&Co has some great ones.
And once those didn't cut it anymore, I went into maternity pants.

Re: Let's talk Bella Bands
i totally get what you mean about it creating more of a baby bump. i fold mine in half b/c it seems to "hold things together" better that way. i wore mine yesterday and loved it! sooo comfy... i got one that was one-size-fits-all and it was plenty stretchy and didn't feel restrictive at all. because of the way i had it folded down, it wasn't really on my stomach, just the waistband of my pants.

Re: Let's talk Bella Bands
maybe you have the wrong size? Mine was wierd the first day but now I am used to it. I find it rides up in the back a lot which gets annoying but it is better than having my pants unbottuned!

Well i didn't see a one size fits all one. According to the size chart (i was a size 6 pre pregnancy) so i got size 1.

I totally agree. I loved mine.
I was wearing mine up until about week 22 or so. I even went on an interview in my suit with it.

I went to the Motherhood outlet in Tanger for mine. Theirs is called a Tummy Sleeve and it's one size fits all. You could always give that one a try. It's probably not too far for you.

Re: Let's talk Bella Bands
I never tried one, but to me it doesn't sound terribly comfy
so you walk around all day with your pants unbuttoned and held up by the band? doesn't that feel odd? I was debating getting a bella band, but I can't get over that concept... I don't think it's really for me....
three words: target maternity clearance! Pants cost as little as $5

Re: Let's talk Bella Bands
Mine was good and got me through a few weeks, then maternity felt much more comfortable! I found that it would always ride up when I bent over or reached up, which I do often at work. But, I was still glad to have it for a while.

Yeah i wish! I have a target about 45 minutes away from me and they only have 2 racks of maternity stuff. So they don't get new stuff that often.

ours has a bit more (maybe 5-7 racks) but not too much more.. .the clearance is mixed in with the regular clearance
but since it's far away, go to target.com I also hear H&M has nice / inexpensive maternity stuff

Re: Let's talk Bella Bands
I LOVED mine. I used it in the beginning to hold up my unbottoned regular pants. Then used in at the end of the pregnancy to hold up my maternity pants. And used it PP to hold up maternity pants until I fit into regular jeans again (about a week).
It was always comfortable.

Re: Let's talk Bella Bands
I always feel like it makes my bump look smaller - like it's a girdle for the bump.
It's comfortable enough except on the gassy days - then I want nothing on my belly.

Re: Let's talk Bella Bands
i loved mine since it meant i could wear my work pants for longer. but, i know what you mean about the girdle! try sliding it down more towards your hips or folding it in half.

Re: Let's talk Bella Bands
I also thought it created more of a bump and I think I was a little paranoide - I felt like everyone could see through that my pants were unbuttoned.
