Let's talk bottles....

What brand of bottle are you getting? I have used Dr. Browns with DS and even though they work great.. they are a PITA... I need some suggestions on a different type....

Re: Let's talk bottles....

i'm leaning towards doing Avent....because i'm thinking of getting the Avent pump and they come highly recommended from a close friend with two infants (VERY recent feedback).

I did originally have a few different 2 packs of different bottles on my registry - to see what the baby prefers. I removed them when she raved about Avent...but kept a 2 pack of Dr. Browns...because i hear great things about them too...

I am deciding between Avent and Dr. Browns. StressedNoMore - why do you think Dr. Browns are a PITA? I haven't heard much about either brand, to be honest, so any info would be great!

Re: Let's talk bottles....

I'm starting with Avent. Hopefully later I can switch to Playtex.

If our baby has colic, I will try out Dr. Brown's but the sales associate and many other people told me they are a PITA to clean.

Re: Let's talk bottles....

i used dr. brown's with DS (i still do, actually), and i totally agree that they are a PITA. but i think i will stick with them for this baby, because they really did wonders for DS when he had gas. if this baby doesn't like them for some reason i'll look for another brand.

the adiri nurser looks cool, although i know nothing about it (other than the fact that it looks cool and it costs $$$)

Re: Let's talk bottles....

The Dr. Browns work great!!! But I am still using them with my son and it drives me crazy to clean.. There are so many parts to clean out and they leak if you forget to put a disk in them as well as if DS throughs his bottle and it is still full it leaks.... But as helping with gas it was great... I just don't want that hassle this time around and am trying to find a different type...

My SIL told me to use vent air and even gave me some .. DS through it on the floor and the whole bottom piece came off and milk everywhere...

Re: Let's talk bottles....

I registered for Avent. I had avent on one registry and born free on another and then realized I had too many bottles on my registry. I figured I would try the Avent and if the baby didn't like them I would move on to Born Free.

Re: Let's talk bottles....

I registered for a pack of Dr. Browns, Avent and Born Free (just the 3 pack of each) and then we will see what the baby likes before we invest in more bottles Chat Icon

I used Dr. Browns with both my sons and they are a PITA so I am going to give the playtex drop ins a shot. If they stink I will switch.

I bought playtex drop-ins & Dr. Browns. Also planning to buy the Avent tempo nursers.
Going to have DD try all 3 and see what she likes.

I am going to be using Dr. Brown's. A few of my friends swear by them. They said they are so hard to clean if you put them in the dishwasher. There are a lot of parts though.
