Let's talk bras

My 34B is getting tight. Do I just buy a regular bra every time my boobs get bigger? Are there bras for pregnant women that are adjustable?

Re: Let's talk bras

Good question. I was wondering the same thing. I'm normally a 34B and popping out of my regular VS bras now. I do have some C's that fit ok, but when do we get bigger bras or do we just get them at maternity stores?
What bra do you wear at the hospital and after that?

I went digging through some stored clothes for bras I had before I lost weight 2 years ago. I could have sworn they were 36C's, but, nope, they're 36D's! I'm definitely not that big yet.

I'm normally a 40DD, so im terrified to get bigger!! I was wondering about this question too. Do I just get a DDD or is there a maternity bra?

My chest grew overnight about a few weeks ago. It is really crazy. I have one bra that fits me right all the rest are too snug. I bought a few pairs from maternity store without the underwire and they are comfortable. I hope these puppies dont grow anymore!

Is "Maternity Store" the name of the place you got them? If not, could you provide it. I'll have to check it out.

girls - what worked for me was going to the Bali/Playtex/whatever else that store is in the Outlets. They have bras VERY cheap and good quality... I personally went to Woodbury Commons - but i believe they are in Tanger as well....

I walked away with 5 bras for something crazy like 40 dollars...

I bought them at motherhood maternity. I think they were $18 each.

I bought new bras a few weeks ago from VS when they were all on sale but I think I am growing out of those ones already too I feel like I need something that is going to grow with me for a bit, I might check out MIMI Maternity today at lunch and see if I can find anything, will let you know.

Re: Let's talk bras

I have bought approximately 5 news bras so far (17 wks). I bought the first one at TJMaxx, then a few weeks later had to go to a bigger size so I bought 2 at Walmart, and just this past weekend I bought to more in a bigger size at JCPenney at an "Early Bird" sale. I've been getting non-underwire and it's been working for me - and feeling much better than the underwire one - which is surprising since I'm up to a 42D!

Just wanted to add that my cup size hasn't really changed, just my width from 36-40-42.

Re: Let's talk bras

I bought maternity bra's at motherhood, but they are shaped VERY different then VS bra's , they do not push the girls together, they are more spaced apart if that makes sense. I got the ones with underwire, i need the support.

I wanted new bra's that can dual as nursing if they still fit. I went from a C to a D so I bought D's and E's since I know I will get bigger.

Re: Let's talk bras

That's a good question and I haven't seen any like this since being pregnant. Bra's aren't cheap and I went up 2 cup sizes. I purchased a few at Target, although they are comfortable - they aren't flattering under clothes.

oh i wish! i have to spend 40 bucks a bra!! I went from a 38DDD/F to a 40H! i don't even know how that's possible. I HAVE to go to specialty stores for bras. the one i bought was a regular bra. i'll try and buying a nursing bra later on but i know I'm still growing so I don't wanna waste money. you're better off buying regular bras and do what jess said, go to an outlet cause they're cheap

Re: Let's talk bras

I'm not exactly well endowed, but went from a 32A to a 32C so I needed something. I went out and bought two actual maternity bras and I totally regret it! They weren't cheap and they're not very comfortable. And I agree with the poster who said they're shaped differently. They almost flatten the girls. I liked squeezing myself into my old VS bras better. I might be pouring out the sides, but at least they looked perky! Chat Icon Now though, I've taken to wearing tank tops with the shelf bras built in whenever I can and am totally comfortable! I think I'm going to head to Target for some less expensive regular bras for those days I can't do the tank top thing, though. Anyone else notice that pregnancy ain't cheap??!!
