Level II Sono- What to expect?
Hi- I go for my level II Friday & I was just curious about a couple of things. I've heard they check to make sure that your uterus is okay, do they also check your ovaries or do an internal to check your cervix? If something is up with you or the baby, do they tell you or am I stuck waiting & playing phone- tag w/ my OB? Whatever- we're so excited!!! TIA

If you want to find out the gender they can typically do this at the level II. They will take measurements and a lot of pictures. Mine was not an internal.

Re: Level II Sono- What to expect?
The sono tech will do measurements of everything of the baby as well as your uterous and ovaries. They will tell you if there is anything is suspicious (most will). Are you getting it done in your doctors office? If so, you will see your dr. before and after the levelII (at least this is how they work it at my office). It's a fun scan and of course you can find out the sex if you wish.
enjoy it!

Re: Level II Sono- What to expect?
They checked everything during this sono - including the placenta, my ovaries, etc.
After the sono, the tech took the results to the perinatologist (sp?), and he saw that everything was fine, so he didn't need to speak with us (unless we had questions). During the sono, the tech was letting us know that all the measurements were falling into range and looking good.
At my monthly appt after the sono, my doc just reviewed the results with me...saying everything looked great.
