Levittown Snoopy Soccer
I know a bunch of LIFers signed up for this league. Who is going tomorrow to the parade?
Do you know what team your DC is/are on?
We didn't get our uniforms yet...we are picking them up tomorrow before the parade. All I know is our coach's name. (Mike)

We're going. My DH is a coach. I know you aren't on our team bc we drove around last Saturday to everyone's house and dropped them off.

Ohh nice. Ours was away at a softball tournament all week! Maybe we will "play" you one week. I know there are a ton of snoopy teams.

We are, and also jmf423 and her son Dom, and Halisa and her twins.
Tom is our coach.
The uniform is so big. its a kids size medium ( 6-8 yrs old_ ...The shirt comes down to my sons shins and falls off his shoulders  , the socks were too big for my DH....that should say it all ....I really don't get why they ordered them so big? I feel bad for my son b/c he cant really wear it, am trying to figure out a way to have it altered. LOL
Maybe we'll see ya there!

Our team is orange. I cut the socks and DD will wear them as leg warmers. I meant to look for black shorts this past week and I forgot.
The shirt shrunk a lot in the wash but it will still be big. No hope for the shorts since they are nylon. I hope that don't fall off while she's running around.

We'll be there Jen. My DH is a coach too, but our colors are also organge and black, and you are not on our team. We held a meeting last weekend and gave out the uniforms. They are huge, but smalls are supposed to be coming in and you can do a uniform switch when they do.
We bought Ale socks and shorts since everything is so huge.
I used to work with the director of the Snoopy league  and his wife -- they are really nice. There are over 300 kids in Snoopy alone.
Also for those who were wondering - they would have started Saturday as they always do the Saturday after Labor Day weekend, but because of the significance of the date decided to move it to Sunday.
We are the A-6 Aces!

I agree...the uniforms are huge and not much improvement after washing and drying. I got him new black shorts but forgot to get orange socks. There is no way the ones that came with the uniform are going to fit in his shoes...they are huge!

Wow - I feel so out of the loop with not having anything yet or even a meeting. I hope this doesn't dictate how the rest of the season is going to be with our coach!

The shirt is do-able but the shorts are sooooo big!!! I hope they stay on today!
He has a pair of black adidas shorts i think i am going to bring as a back-up! LOL

For those who didn't get into LSC Snoopy, Wantagh Seaford PAL just opened a pre-k division (kids going into K in Fall 2011). Registration is being held through Sept 17th.
Of course that league is playing at a field we can walk to from our house.

How was everyone's first game?
DD and DS are on the Dragons. (Purple)
We actually didn't have a team to play today so we played against ourselves. I can't believe how crazy the parade and the games were! Hopefully next week (or the week after for us) is better.
There are 2 weeks we don't have games.

It was ok. I thought today was pretty chaotic.
He was all into it this morning and liked the parade. Our game wasn't scheduled to start until 2:30 and didn't start until closer to 2:45. We were literally the last game there. We went to lunch in between and then he was over it for the day, when we went back he refused to play.
Hopefully the next game goes better for us.

After the parade I walked right by Diana with Jack and Tyler, but I felt stupid stopping to say anything. Tyler was playing with a soccer ball, he was so cute!
And I think I saw Kara, but Ale wasn't with her so I wasn't 100% sure it was her.

It's been so long since I have seen any LIFers at any GTGs - probably almost 2 years so they could be standing next to me and I probably wouldn't recognize them!
