LI IVF nurse
Any LI IVF ladies have any experience with a nurse named Jessica? I was assigned to be her patient and I'm just curious and hoping she is good! So far it took her 3 days to respond to an email and I'm hoping once everything starts shes better at responding to phone calls and emails

She's not my nurse, but she's called me a few time with my instructions. She's seems really nice and always super helpful.

She was my nurse with my 1st DC..she was okay..I personally didnt care for her. She is def not the warm, fuzzy type of nurse.

:/ this is the impression I got from her email. I wasn't getting warm vibes. How much contact do you actually have with the assigned nurse?

Jessica definitely knows her stuff and is super knowledgeable, but is not the warm, fuzzy type at all. I had Maryann and really liked her. In terms of how much you interact with your assigned nurse, not that much, so try not to worry -- its not a huge deal. They are responsible for your medication order, creating your cycle calendar, and if they are on duty when afternoon phone calls are made, they will sometimes be the one to call you to give you your instructions. I got to know the AM monitoring nurses who drew blood (love Anita and Kathy!) and the sono techs much better than my assigned nurse.

i liked her -- she was our nurse but it was one of her first times giving the "speech" - ie first nurse meeting- at our facility in patchogue. she said the other offices will do it over the phone (wish we knew that sooner, it was a stupid meeting). she was very empathetic when we started hating the patchogue office. we saw her at stonybrook a few times and she was nice there too. she also was the one to recommend that we go to stonybrook because they are SUPER fast and we could make it to work on time if we went there for monitoring. she also reminded me of a friend of mine. i agree she doesnt come off as the warmest fuzziest but she is knowledgeable. i dont think it really matters who your nurse is though. some of the other people (billing, etc) come across nasty in email. i find it's better to call.
we also ran into jessica outside of LIIVF and she remembered us (we only went for one cycle before getting preg.) and asked about how we were doing :)
our sono tech was the BEST- sharon @ stonybrook.

She's not my nurse but has been helpful calling and with information. I think all the nurses are sweet and even the un fuzzy ones, when you go there enough you see they all are helpful and care. Everything is quick there. They really try and get you in and out so I think to be overly friendly is difficult. I speak the most w my ivf nurse and I happen to love her but I still deal with many others. She gives your calendar . Goes over the basics in the beginning and is your point person with any questions

Jessica was my nurse with my first IVF. I wasn't a fan. She's smart and does a good job, I'm sure, but I needed someone a little more "warm" to work with when I was so emotional.
I asked Dr Brenner to change my next cycle. Good luck!

Re: LI IVF nurse
I agree . Jackie was amazing and the best. If it weren't for her I would have left that practice sooner . She was the only one I dealt with . I left the practice and was really sad to leave her. She even told me she understands and respects my decision and wished me the best of luck when I left .

Re: LI IVF nurse
Actually I dealt with Jessica on the phone as she was the on call nurse one day. I had a question on my injections as it was my first time ever doing them and when she called me back, she def was not the nicest. Like I was a bother to her .
