Library books at school and eye twitching???
Ok, Caiden has NEVER done this before, but school started at the end of August. This is his 2nd year there, 1st grade, but this is the first time this has ever happened before. Caiden has been coming home from school with library books. 2 times already, once a week. Well, EVERY time he comes home and takes out the book, as soon as he opens it and turns the pages, his eye starts twitching/winking like crazy??? I mean a lot. Then when I take it away it slows dramatically and will eventually go away after a few days. It's happened both times so far and I don't know what to do? We've given him other books to read and he doesn't do it. It's just when he's handling the library books at school. I've contacted the school and they say that they didn't spray or do anything to the books over the summer. I just don't know what is causing him to have this kind of reaction? It's like an allergic reaction? The couple of books he's brought home were new books? This didn't happen at all last year, not once. It started his first day of school. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks so much!
P.S. We made him wash his hands right away and it was almost gone already, but still slightly there. It took days for it to stop completely, like it was in his system still.

Re: Library books at school and eye twitching???
wow, that's strange ! I've never noticed DD having a reaction - now I'll have to pay attention.
I know you said it doesn't happen with other books, but have you had his eyes checked to make sure it's not a vision problem? If the library books have a different size print then the ones you are giving him maybe it's too small and the blinking/twitching is him trying to focus ?
Sorry I'm not much help !!
ETA - just realized you said it took a few DAYS to stop - that being the case I don't think it's his vision. Have you contacted his dr. about it ?
