LIF browsing habit - have you ever noticed?
That some people post threads way more than they comment on other people's threads?
I had never noticed but someone mentioned this to me a while ago and now I do.
Have you ever noticed this? Do you purposely not reply to them because they don't 'contribute' to threads besides their own?

I'm so oblivious, I've never noticed that.....but I will say that I notice that certain people NEVER respond to my posts, for whatever reason......maybe I'm just not that interesting!

If I don't reply it is because I have nothing of substance to contribute. Id rather say nothing.
People have curiosities and are "teased" (for lack of a better word) by subject titles. When the thread is opened, it could be something completely different than what they thought it was.
Here you are damned if you do and damned if you don't.

(PS - I dont care if nobody likes my haikus.)

I contribute to threads that interest me. I dont respond to stuff for the sake of it (unless it's a lot of fun). I do have a tendancy to bring up topics for discussion or post a quick question or something funny I see on the street.
Not sure if I am one of those...

totally agree! There are some that are really, really obvious - they only visit when they "need" something, but can't take two seconds to post a congrats or whatever on anyone else's threads.

I never noticed. And I rarely stop and look to see who started a post before I respond to it. I just respond if i have something to say. I don't play favorites with people.

Which I guess is ok, I mean thats what we are here for .....yet something about it bothers me.
I guess it boils down to not wanting or having the desire to help someone too much who doesnt help anyone else about anything EVER.

That's exactly how I feel about it.
There's no way to respond to every single thread but if it's so obvious that someone doesn't ever reply to others then I have no interest in replying to their threads.

I haven't noticed. But for me sometimes I don't reply to posts because people have already said what I would have said.
I only start a thread once in a while usually for advice on something.
