Not even kidding a little bit.

I finally have AMAZING salon-worthy blow outs every single day in about 15 minutes.

I have shoulder length, thick but fine hair. I recently cut a lot of choppy layers in to make it bouncy and give style - so sick of pin straight hair.

I bought THIS , the John Frieda Salon Shape Hot Air Brush and it is absolutely the most magical, life changing styling tool I have EVER used.

I blow dry my hair about 80% of the way. Then I section it of and run the brush through, sometimes curling under and sometimes flipping the ends. I do 3 sections, the bottom layers, the middle layers and the crown. I work my way around my head, side/back/side and when I'm done I look like this:

Go buy it now.

Re: Life changing hair product

How does it work? I'm guessing by the name that it blows hot air out? haha.
This is intriguing, I can NEVER blow my hair out.

It's a heated hairbrush; the way you would use a round brush a blowdryer, you just use this.

No it doesn', but you don't need it to. Just run it through, hold it like a curling iron to get the curl or flip.

Re: Life changing hair product

Do you think you could use this in conjunction with your hair dryer -ie use the both at the same time?

I wouldn't - that would probably fry your hair.

The instyler rotates I believe.

This is just a hot air brush- hot air comes out the vents.

I only blow out my bangs with a round brush. I wonder if this would work for that.

I have it. And yes you can. But if you use a different sized brush to blow your bangs out than the size of this particular brush it takes some getting used to.

I have this and love it too!! I always get great comments on my hair after i use it...

My only issue is that it takes a long time. I have fine hair and it takes a long time. I can't imagine how long it'd take for someone with thick hair.....

is it as loud as a hair drier? i want to straighten my hair more often, but can't since i get up so much earlier than my husband and son and i don't want to risk waking them with the sound of the drier...this seems like a good alternative if it is quieter.

Re: Life changing hair product

I have shoulder length thick hair which I normally blow out 2 to 3 times a week. Would this be a useful tool to use towards the end of my blow drying routine? I could not imagine using it for the entire blow drying process as my hair is thick and it would take forever.

TIA

It sounds like a hair dryer, yes. Maybe not AS loud, but on the high setting it's pretty much the same noise

Wait, what??? Chat Icon

Is the air flow on this very strong? Looking for something relatively easy to use for my very fine haired daughter as she learns how to blow dry/style it herself. Something that is easy to control and doesn't have such a strong air flow... otherwise, it's hard for her to not just blow her hair all around.
