I'm in the same boat.. just been lazy - this is the site that was recommended to me for term insurance. We plan on getting policies through here when we get around to it! Chat Icon

Re: Life Insurance Question?

Term Life Insurance is good for a certain term of your life

DH and I just bought 30 year term for about $1000 a year.

If one of us dies in the next 30 years then the living person gets $1 million

year 31--screwed

Whole life insurance was too expensive for us

Re: Life Insurance Question?

term is generally super cheap. It covers you for the TERM selected.

whole life is more expensive, usually a lot more. As long as you keep paying your premiums it is there for your whole life. After a certian period of time you can borrow against the money you have in there. It earns interest.

ie whole life on DH could be $1000 a year for 1/2 million while term is $200 a year for the same 1/2 million.
