Lighter wood bedroom furniture? updated if anyone cares lol
Updated below ***********************
We are ordering DS a bedroom set.
He wants lighter wood furniture.
As an example of what he wants, we have a piece in our home of my old bedroom set, from a discontinued line (not my own pic, below):
I am looking to get a bed frame, 2 nightstands and a small dresser.
Anything out there? EVERYTHING is dark.
Everything.
I saw something potential on overstock but it had bad reviews.
not my pic - like this color

Never heard of this - thanks!
It looks like you have to buy a five piece set to have it customized but that is good to know!
ETA - Actually certain beds it looks like you can. OMG - thank you! Will have to just check reviews....

Re: Lighter wood bedroom furniture?
This place has a lot of bedroom furniture in all colors and they also will stain to whatever color you want.
Bare Boards
They have a huge showroom with a lot on display as well as catalogs you can order from.
I have this bedroom set (it changed in design a little since I purchased it but I like the curved front) and I ordered it from them.
AAmerica bedroom set

Thanks to those who replied.
I looked into both and found Bare Boards to be nice but a bit expensive. I guess I should have expected it since it's painted or stained to your specifications and they have tons of stains to chose from, but it still seemed like a lot. I was about to suck it up and go for it when I went to Raymour and Flanagan in Lake Grove and they had literally one lighter wood set but it was perfect for what I needed and on sale. I had zero expectations when I went bc I had already been to the one near me in Westbury but this place was huge - much bigger than other R&Fs I've been to - so they must have a bigger selection overall.
Just mentioning it in case I am not the only one looking for light but not white.

Hello, Im just curious which bed you went with, as I am in a similar situation. MY DS dresser is also light (its called driftwood) and I was trying to find a twin bed that is also light.

Sorry just saw this.
This is the one we got
It came a few days ago and it looks really nice.
It says queen but we got in in full size as we already had a full size mattress for him (that was sitting on the floor while we searched lol.)
The only thing is I am pretty sure it doesn't come in twin size because it was in the adult section.
I would suggest bare boards in Bohemia if you really can't find anything else. If all you need is the twin bed itself and maybe a nightstand it won't be that expensive. I wanted to avoid going custom because I needed more pieces (my DS had all this hand me down furniture in his room and it was time for new stuff!)
