LIJ or NSUH Manhasset
I was just wondering how many ladies have delivered or will deliver at North Shore- LIJ or Northshore Manhasset. My doctor joined with another practice and I would really like to know what each hospital has to offer. Would you please let me know as much feedback as possible? I would greatly appreciate it.

i had surgery 3 yrs ago at manhasset and i was really pleased with the OB/GYN care.

This is my first and I'm having the baby at NSUH-Manhasset.
So far my experience there has been good, I've gone there for my Ultrascreen and Level II, also I had an Amnio performed there.

I delivered at LIJ. no problems, nurses were great. I just wrote about it on another post i believe the one that asks for your experience in the hospital..

I will be having my Csection at NSUH on July 30th. I have had sonos and other exams there and I have nothing bad to say.

I had DD at NSUH and my only complaint is that the really push BFing and frown upon FFing.

I live out of state, but had I been on LI for my pregnancy I would be delivering at NSUH Manhasset. My MIL is a L&D nurse there, and having many friends and family deliver there I would not think twice

I delivered my first in December at LIJ and would never deliver anywhere else. The nurses and experience was absolutely amazing. I also delivered vaginally with no complications so was in and out w/in 24 hours. Since Schneiders is there too, that's another reason I was so happy, in case anything were to go wrong. Ms SIL delivered twins 2 months premature in March and they were at Schneider's. They received amazing care.

I delivered DD as NSUH Manhasset and had a great experience. It would've been a little better had I had my own room, but that's $$$. I'll be delivering there again with  .

I will be delivering at lij I actually work for the hospital too and it is a very nice hospital and the nurses and everyone are really accomodating..My sister gave birth twice at lij and has nothing but great things to say about them

I delivered at NSUH Manhasset and had a very good experience, but I don't think you can go wrong at either.

and have only heard good things! I have my hospital tour on August 2!

I delivered my DS at NSUH and I will be delivering my little girl there as well in november. I wouldnt deliver at any other place. Love it there. The nurses and staff are all fantastic. They have a nice choice of food for the dads to be in the cafeterias-- Obviously my DH thought that was important..LOL
They do an evening pastry kinda thing in the maternity ward for those moms recovering to walk around and meet other moms if you choose.
Overall great experience.. I have all my sonos done there as well in the maternal fetal medicine office there.
