Lilly is going to her new vet tonight! *UPDATE!*
I was able to *finally* get copies of her actual charts, after fightng with the head doctor of the practice.
Aside from the issues that need to be addressed with the new vet (stitch removal, vomiting in the a.m. and loose stool), is there anything else that I should be sure to ask the vet about?
Does she need to get a new rabies tag? The one that she has now is from the old vet.
Also - can they change the info on her microchip or do I have to contact the microchip company directly?
*UPDATE*
Sooooooooooooooo................
We went to the new vet last night. LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They were so fantastic - SUCH a HUGE differnece from the old one. All of the staff came out to meet her and give her snuggles and kisses! They run a doggie daycare/spa in the office as well and they had another IG there - they brough thim out as soon as they saw Lilly!
The vet said that it was appalling that they let Lilly come home the same day she was spayed. I brought up a few issues that I had spoken to the old vet about and never felt quite comfortable with their answers, so I asked her. I noticed that there were some brown spots in Lilly's ears - old one said it was just pigmentation spots - new one said her ears were full of fungus and washed them out thoroughly - holy cow - you should have seen what came out of her ears! She also noticed a slight heart murmer that no one ever picked up on - said it was nothing to be concerned about. I was happy with everything she told me. She also said that the old vets should be ashamed of themselves. I have to drop off a stool sample this afternoon - she thinks that Lilly might never have kicked the last round of parasites, as nothing was noted in her chart that she was ven treated a second time.
Overall, I am THRILLED with them so far.

Re: Lilly is going to her new vet tonight!
The rabies tag is fine, if she got the vaccine then that still stands. Not a vet #, it is a county # that is registered to the vaccine.
And the microchip should be fine as well, as long as you registered her with the microchip company. The microchip just has a #, doesn't have the vet's info on it. However, if you registered her with the microchip company (you were supposed to, hopefully they informed you of this), you might want to check and see if you filled in your vet's info. I don't recall if I had to provide my vet's info, but just check and if so, change it. Nothing will change the chip inside her, it has a permanent # marked in it.
You can have the new vet scan her, to make sure about the chip. I had my vet scan my dogs, so I could personally read what came up on the scan machine to make sure the # I was given/told is the actual # of the chip in my dogs. I am paranoid, so I wanted to be sure no one screwed up and gave me the wrong # for the chip. And seeing how you don't trust your old vet, I would definitely verify this with the new vet by scanning her. Good luck, hope you like your new vet.
