I believe its a nice neighborhood - BUT to be honest I have only lived here for 5-months... So I propbably not the best person to have answered...

Re: Lindenhurst

We just bought in the village, on S 2nd, I think I know that area and that it is very nice but I'm not totally familiar with all of Lindenhurst yet. I'll try to go take a look tomorrow.

Re: Lindenhurst

Between what streets on 37th St? I have a friend who lives there and it's very nice. But, when you get too close to Straight Path it's not as nice.

this is on the south end of 37th street, near New York Ave, away from Straight Path.

Re: Lindenhurst

That's very nice over there. My friend lives one block down and she has wonderful neighbors.

Re: Lindenhurst

Do you mind me asking how much are the houses going for there? I think the seller of this particular house is asking way too much, about 70k more than what the house is appraised for (we did a title search).

Since I am from Nassau, I am not familar with Suffolk prices.

Areas south of Sunrise Highway are nice. I lived in the village for many years and I really liked it. Like another poster said stay away from the Straight path border. Lindenhurst has good schools from what I hear.
