LIPA to raise rates by 3.5%...
because of rising fuel costs. Great like the rates aren't high enough

Seriously. Things just keep getting tighter and tighter. Sadly it's basic necessities too, like electricity, heat and food that every time you turn around they are going up.
So glad my husband's union agree to a no raise for 4 years contract

yeah and my DH was supposed to get a raise in April and they didn't give anyone raises. Now they said we only give raises in April, not any other part of the year, so we can't do anything until next April.

That's it!!!! I'm moving back to North Carolina!!!!
This is insane!!! What I pay for electric for an apartment up here is crazy! I never paid this much when we were in NC, in the summer, with central air running when it was 103 degrees!
I can not believe how expensive it's getting! I wasn't offered a raise myself (and I was due).
