Lips and moisture
I always take very good care of my lips, moisturize them, drink 10 cups of water a day, and switch off and on what I use on them.
Right now my upper lip is SO painful and peeling even. I have been using straight old vaseline, aquafor and other lips on them and it really really isn't helping
What tips do you have to save my lips??

Re: Lips and moisture
I try to prevent them from even getting chapped. I have esos everywhere....car, bathroom, kitchen, purse. & I'm always applying..right before outdoor runs & right after too.
I find in the past if it did get dry a gentle loufa with my toothbrush & then applying good balm helps.

Re: Lips and moisture
Make a sugar scrub with some lip balm and sugar and gently rub a bit on your lips to remove the chapped bits. I am not sure if this is a good idea though I do it - If I have a long bit of dead skin I use tiny manicuring scissors to cut it rather than have it hang from my lips - I am super careful not to cut the living tissue, just some of the bit that is not fully flaked off. I also wear full coverage lipstick which is really emollient and protects my lips.

Re: Lips and moisture
I too have esos all over. It's a good excuse to try the different flavors.
So far this season my lips have not become chapped.
I often put it on when I'm sitting in traffic which is quite a lot here on LI. It's a weird comfort thing.

Lips and moisture
I use a DIY brown sugar and olive oil scrub. I also sleep with Vaseline on and my lips are super soft in the AM.

Re: Lips and moisture
I HATE the feeling of dry lips. I swear by Blistex DCT. Its in the beige container that you dip your finger in. Only thing in the world that helps me. I put it on in the am and before bed. If I dont use it for a day or 2 and my lips get dry, problem solved once i put it on

this but with coconut oil and sugar, the oiil really soothes and moisturizes and the sugar will scrub away the dead skin.
