LIRR Vent...Any advice?
Monday the vending machines went down because of some problem on their end with the banking company that processes credit cards transactions. Fine. I have been trying since then to get a 10 pass but each time it says authorization denied and cancels the transactions (using a WageWorks card). So today I go online to see my WageWorks statement and sure enough there is a charge for $92.50 from the LIRR on 4/4. I never got a ticket. So I just called a left a message on their line - which I am sure will NEVER get answered. I never got a transaction cancelled receipt from any of the times I tried.
So now I am afriad that I will not get the $92.50 back - actually all I want is the card I paid for. I guess I need to go to Penn and talk to someone at the window.
Any advice?

Ang, this happened to Rob a few weeks ago. He had to submit a notarized claim to LIRR (PIA) but he did get refunded. Good luck

Thanks Daniela - did he get the form from them? I guess Rich can get it notarized for me but that really stinks that I have to wait for the money. Thanks for the advice. I am going to go tonight.

When he spoke to LIRR, they sent him a whole packet. You have to complete it and send it back. So, if I were you, I would call until you talk to someone and know they are sending you that information.
Good luck

Re: LIRR Vent...Any advice?
OMG!! This happened to me! I ran my debit card twice on Monday and they charged me for 2 $203 tickets, which I never got!!! I am going through my bank right now to reverse the charges. I seemed to be having alot more success dealing with Chase on this issue then the LIRR. Chase told me they would take care of it. As of today, I'm still missing $406!!!

Re: LIRR Vent...Any advice?
The same thing happened to me...I put in my debit card and it said it wasn't authorized and then I put in my credit card and it went through. Low and behold it charged my debit card too. $307 each!!!.
The LIRR doesn't reimburse for the ticket machines. You need to call 877-547-7876. They are incharge of the machines. I have left multiple messages and am not playing phone tag with them.
I also called the credit card company and asked to stop payment. The credit card is easier to get back than the debit.
Good luck!!!
