Listening to the heartbeat at home
I looked in my own profile at that little ticker and it says I can now hear the baby's heart with a listening device. DH bought a stethoscope, not a doctor's one but a regular one. Will that work or do they mean a high tech listening device?

Re: Listening to the heartbeat at home
You would most likely only hear your own hb with the stethescope. They probably mean a doppler-type device. My dr uses it everytime I have a check-up. She puts it very low, like near my bikini line

I think you need a doppler to hear it. When my ticker said that, DH tried to actually put his ear to my belly. The baby kicked him

DH is going to be so disappointed that his $12 stethoscope isnt going to work. I think it works at the middle or end of the 2nd trimester, if I remember correctly.

Re: Listening to the heartbeat at home
I used Bebe Sound one with the twins...I think it will work this early but it takes awhile to figure it out...I remember that it doesnt sound like the doppler in the doctors office...but it does work..
