As the website shows, this is a beautiful house - completely move-in ready with a lot of unique features for a Levitt (open layout, gas heat).
All of the "big things" (roof, siding, windows, heating system) have been updated, but all of the beautiful cosmetic details are there as well (custom moldings, recessed lighting, new carpet and hardwood floors). It's truly the best of both worlds!

I just wanted to chime in that you have a lovely house. I live in the same style (Levitt ranch) and the improvements you've made to your floor plan are exactly what I want to do to mine when I have the money! For people looking at Levitts, it's rare to find one already all done up like this, so hopefully you'll have a quick time with the sale. Good luck.

I heard Levittown taxes are really high and especially school taxes.

They are really no higher than most areas in Nassau.
On this house, the taxes are under $11K without STAR. With STAR, they are around $9200. You really won't do much better in most areas of Nassau, unless you have a really small house on a tiny lot.
Most of the houses I sell in southeast Nassau have houses in the $10K-$14K range, but I've sold houses with taxes of about $17K, too! It's really rare to find a house with taxes under $10K without any exemptions unless maybe you are looking in one of a couple of towns (Farmingdale, Hicksville).

Funny, DH and I looked at a house on Raspberry back in 2004 when we bought our house. We actually bid on it, but couldn't agree on a price. I would swear it was this one

I might be wrong but I think Levittown is one of the only towns with a public pool system that's free for residents. OK, you pay via taxes but still. As a kid I had a lot of great times at the pools and it's something I truly miss where I live now- if I want to join a pool I have to shell out $$$ and it's also not remotely in walking distance as it was when I was a kid.

Beautiful house! I remember you posting during the renovations of the fireplace. We plan on doing that to our Levitt this year or possibly next year. Cant wait to open up those 2 rooms.
