Little Scare Today---In My 33rd Week--Just Got Back From The Doctor
When I wiped this AM, (sorry TMI) I got this small amount (like a quarter size) of goop (and what I think was some of my mucos plug). I called my OBGYN and to be safe they had me come in. They did this swab test (results Monday) to determine if I will go into labor (never knew this test exsisted) within two weeks. She felt my cervix which was a bit soft but closed.
She said just relax, it was proably nothing. I hope. Please let me at least get to 36 weeks!

It could have just been a nasty glod of discharge  My sister had a few "glob issues" that she thought were her mucous plug and it just turned out to be the dreaded discharge!
 Your little one stays put a little while longer!

I noticed that with my last pregnancy at the end in the toilet tho not wiping and i was told its your cervix shedding and preparing for birth. Didnt mean you would go into labor right away.
I had the swab test twice.. it tells the doctor if you have the chance of going into labor within the next 2 weeks. Must detect a hormone or something with birth.
I still have no clue when i actually lost my mucous plug or when my water broke.

I lost something about 2 weeks ago that I thought could have been my plug (way too big to be normal discharge). Shortly after that I ended up in L&D and I asked the nurse when I was there if I should be worried. She said no, it was normal and since I wasn't dilating I'm not in labor. I also had the FFN and it has come back negative so hopefully no labor for either of us for a little while longer

dont get too worried if your FFN comes back positive. i had one at 34w and i was induced 5 days past my due date. false positives are very common.

That must be the test I just had done this week, I complained to my doctor of cramping last weekend and they sent a sample to the lab...
Sounds like it was just extra discharge
