Re: live in nanny
what do you pay her a week/month We pay weekly but the average range that I've seen for live in's range between $450 (someone who doesn't drive, english isn't great) to $750 (perfect english, drives, housekeeping)
does she drive - did you provide her with a car Mine does not drive ,but is hoping to soon. We would give her my car to use since I take the train to work. We would also pay for her insurance.
what responsabilities does she have Her main responsibility is to always take care of the kids first. I wake up with my older DD and hang with her for a bit, then send her downstairs to have my nanny give her breakfast. In that time, I get dressed and the baby is usually up. I get the baby up and changed, then bring her downstairs, and take my older one up, dress her and then leave. She plays with the baby during the day, walks with her and when the older DD gets home from school, watches both of them, gives them dinner and baths both of them. Then I get home and take over.
On Fridays, she does some cleaning like vacuuming, washing my kitchen floor, straightening up, cleaning the bathroom on our main floor and my DD's bathroom.
did you provide her with a tv in her room Yes, plus a DVD player. And since she's a live-in, we pay for all of her food and even some of her toiletries.
HTH - let me know if you have any questions. Between DH's and my work schedule, we have to have someone live-in.

Does she work on weekends too or does she go home?

Re: live in nanny
No, my nanny doesn;t work on weekends - she goes home to her apt. However, if we had a nanny that didn;t have her own home, I would be fine with her staying on weekends, and not expect her to work. I'm sure I would ask if she wouldn't mind listening for the kids if we put them to bed and wanted to go for dinner, but we don't have that issue since she goes home.
I did use an agency - FM me for the number.
