Live-in nanny in Woodbury...
was pregnant. Killed her baby after delivering him in her home in Brooklyn. Put the baby in a shoe box, took the train and dumped the baby in a trash can.
I am absolutely heartbroken 
What is wrong with these women that can do this to their own child. She hid her pregnancy from EVERYONE (including the baby's father). I can't even imagine...

so sad and so so scary... what is wrong with people... you can drop the baby off at a hospital with no questions asked.. I know a couple who would do anything for a baby right now... its just sick.

I hate to get into a political discussion but the fact is that with abortion so socially acceptable people have no regard for a baby's life anymore. I think it is so horrible especially since someone mentioned that you can drop the baby off anywhere, its just horrible.

whay cant these people just drop them off somewhere to be adopted...just the other day a girl gave birth to a baby and dropped it out threw it out the window....give it up for adoption...dont kill it

I can't imagine how the family of the children she was taking care of feels. It is very scary that there are such sick people out there.

I don't think abortion choices have anything to do with this case at all
But I couldn't believe she was a nanny! The irony! I don't believe her "excuse" either - total BS if you ask me.
I'm wondering if she felt a bit of guilt in this though since the bag was left ON TOP of the garbage can.....not tossed inside? Who knows, it's just such a tragedy....so many people would do anything for a baby and she goes and throws one away

I saw the womans picture in the paper today and I am almost positive I have seen her at the local park/pool. Such a shame!
I can't even imagine what the family that hired her is feeling right now. If she could do that to her own child, what would stop her from doing somthing to another's child.

My husband told me about this last night since he heard it on the news and I was so sad about it!
I couldn't imagine going through 9 months of pregnancy, giving birth to my child, and not feeling the most unconditional feelings of love for the child. I could never imagine not loving that child instantly, and even remotely wishing harm upon that child.
I can understand that there are a million stresses she could have gone through, but that still will never explain what she did to me.
I also know of people who would do almost anything for a child and are having difficulties concieving ---
There are just better answers that I guess she didn't consider!
