Local Romantic Getaway!
Can someone recommend a nice 2-3 day getaway with my hubby for January. I will be about 5 months. Thanks.

DH and I spent 2 nights at Mohonk Mountain House. We were there in the early fall, so the weather was nice enough that we could hike and do outdoors stuff. But I bet it's really cozy and festive in the winter. It's very old-fashioned--no TVs, but romantic (there's a fire place in every room). And the spa was built in the last 5 years or so and it's gorgeous! We had a really nice "Welcome Baby" couples massage.

Either Mohonk Mountain House or go to Newport, RI. I love it there

Newport RI, find a cute Bed and Breakfas, that would be great.
We went to Mohonk and weren't impressed...plus I think it's more of family place.
Also some great B&Bs out east (Hamptons, Greenport etc)

Newport, RI - great, easy drive - beautiful.
DH and I were just there in September, it was wonderful in the warm weather - but I would think the winter would be great too.
We stayed at the Newport Hotel and Suites.

Oh - I know - Cranwell - Lenox, Mass. about a 5 hour trip - its a spa resort - indoor pool - absolutely beautiful in the winter!!!
