location ideas for a family photo shoot at Central park, please help pick one
A friend of mine offered to do a free family photo shoot for us (me , DH and DD , she is almost 4) . She said to pick any location, so I'm thinking CP. But where? any suggestions will be appreciated ! Oh and someone suggested the CP zoo, but I don't think we want to do the zoo.
TIA

I love the location by the "pond/lake" on the South side.
I also the "rocky" area that faces the West side. It was in "center" of central park (west to east) around 63rd street or so.

Is that what it's call? It's just on the very South of the park. Just North of the Waldorf. You can see the hotel from the pond.

I was going to suggest these and also maybe the Central Park Zoo?

One of my favorite spots is the Shakespeare Garden. It's lush and rustic. Flowers, trees, wood benches, stone steps and walks:
Closeby is Belvidere Castle also.
Then there's the boat pond with statues of Alice in Wonderland and this one of Hans Christian Andersen with the Ugly Duckling (book and duckling!):
Another favorite is the Angel of the Waters fountain at Bethesda Terrace but it's very crowded and may not be intimate enough for a family shoot.
Good luck!

I couldn't tell you exactly where it is, but I love the pretty bridge near the big lake - with the white metal scrollwork. it would make for a beautiful backdrop Image Attachment(s):

LOVE this idea, thank you, didn't think of it. I think we'll go with this location. Thanks so much!

We took pictures in the fall near the tavern on the green and went to the playground after. It wasn't supposed to be a photo shoot but there were so many great pictures!
